January 2011 Week 2
.. and again Hello from Cornwall,
currently located in St. Ives a "winter" sleep. During the week you can see hardly any people on the street. When you stand on port is a walk, we see almost as many seals as people ... well, maybe not quite as bad, but seals can be seen at present very often. Tuesday we had invited our neighbors. They are both born in St. Ives and have a great deal about. So we could learn something NEW and in two books, which they brought, even old pictures of St. Ives ... see z.Bsp. how things were when the house in which we live was not built ... So before 1900 ... .
Wednesday we were in Penzance Penlee House Museum & Gallery, we were astonished not bad, as we face the Museum a rhododendron - trees in full bloom have seen ... Morab Park in Penzance are in bloom even see some camellias on. But back to the Penlee House. The images are (from the neighboring town of Penzance, about 15km from St. Ives.) By the painters of the Newlyn and St. Ives - School issued. As "greenhorns" to the art scene, we know what we're not at all with art .. and the oh-so-famous Tate Gallery, we have endured in 2009 a full 20 minutes ... but here are real Künster issued .... By the end of the 19th Century, the establishment of the Railway to Penzance and St. Ives, kept coming artists here in the area around their art (whatever) pursue. you will name as Alexander Forbes and Elizabeth Stanhope Forbes, Frank Bramley Frank W. Bourdillon or say probably more than us ;-)... but the names you can remember real .. Who really painted yet ... just super! ( www.penleehouse.org.uk) 15 Up January was there still a special exhibition on mail ... Some of the artists have the stamps affixed somewhere on the envelope and then integrated into an image ... For example a right, a left and then drew a circle around each and a bicycle from or as a back of a chair on which one sits and reads the newspaper ... in the newspaper name and address of the recipient is ... others have added their images to text .. on an an artist on a small rowing boat. The sail is stretched on the back of a wooden picture frame, the oars are made of brush and the front of the boat, the tube of paint ... no wonder you are still much more to post ...
weekend was - as almost the entire last week - sooo true English weather ... So as some of you imagine how it is here every day .... Saturday we were at Carn Galve mine and from there the few steps to the Atlantic, which has spared himself in strong wind really on the rocks.
New images are already set ... Until next week ... many Greetings from the 4 "Cornish-Eichstetten" ...
